Czech Sport Aircraft Ships Two More SportCruisers To USA

czech sport aircraftOn Nov. 1, Czech Sport Aircraft confirmed the shipping of two more 2013 model SportCruiser to the USA.  This now takes the total to 12 units of the new 2013 model SportCruiser successfully shipped to the USA so far this year with additional aircraft in assembly being prepared for shipment and new orders to be confirmed soon.

This new shipment includes one SportCruiser SVAP+ configured in the elegant Frankovka Burgundy Classic Design paint scheme with Exclusive Leather upholstery in Acrtic Grey with matching Shiraz Burgundy inserts.  The second aircraft is a SportCruiser SVAP Light configured in the very popular Moravia Blue Classic Design paint scheme with striking two-tone Excusive Leather upholstery in Arctic Grey with Midnight Grey inserts.

Commenting on this new milestone, Matthew Harvey, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Czech Sport Aircraft, said, “We set ourselves a very ambitious target for the USA at the beginning of the year and we are very pleased with the way things have gone so far.  It is important not to take our foot off the gas and we hope to achieve some important new orders before the end of the year.  Including pre-2013 model stock remaining in the USA at the beginning of the year, we have achieved sales for 23 SportCruiser to date this year.  This shows that the SportCruiser continues to be one of the best-selling Light Sport Aircraft in the USA and also confirms that we have implemented the right strategy on the market with the launch of the new SVAP+ and SVAP Light models, the SportCruiser Flight & Distribution Centre and the SportCruiser SportShares Programme.”

Speaking from the SportCruiser Flight & Distribution Centre in Addision (TX), Patrick Arnzen, Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Sport Aircraft Importing, said, “There is no question that the market is very tough this year as it has been also in previous years.  With strong competition and worsening economic conditions it is important to represent a strong brand backed-up with a first-class product and dependable aftersales service.  The SportCruiser represents all that here in the USA and we continue to strive to improve our service offering with the support of Czech Sport Aircraft.  We look forward to receiving the two new aircraft that have been shipped today and we are preparing for a successful end to the year.”

The SportCruiser SVAP+ offers dual-screen 10” Dynon Skyview instrumentation together with additional enhanced features.  The new SportCruiser SVAP Light is based on the increased demand from the U.S. market for an entry-level Light Sport Aircraft that combines affordability and advanced features with the flexibility to upgrade.  This version is also the result of an extensive weight reduction exercise carried out by Czech Sport Aircraft engineers, resulting in an increased useful load.  Both new models are equipped in 2013 with Garmin 796 GPS and ADS-B Receiver.  In addition, Czech Sport Aircraft continues to supply the SportCruiser Classic with analogue instrumentation.

With the aim of ensuring quality, general safety and airworthiness of Light Sport Aircraft, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has introduced more frequent audits of Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers.  Having already conducted several audits of U.S. Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers, the FAA audit of Czech Sport Aircraft took place in March and was the second such audit to take place outside the USA.  The audit focused on all aspects of compliance with FAA accepted Light Sport Aircraft ASTM consensus standards and no safety related issues were found by the FAA inspectors during the Czech Sport Aircraft audit.

The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes.  The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market.  As of December 2012, the SportCruiser was being used by almost 20 flight schools in the USA alone.

The SportCruiser is a double-seat aircrafts of full metal construction.  The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage.  The SportCruiser is certified in the USA LSA category and can be operated in countries recognising LSA regulations such as the USA, South Africa, Australia and some South American countries.
