Bell Helicopter Expands Carbide Skid Shoe Offerings

bell helicopterNovember 05, 2013 – Bell Helicopter announced that its Aeronautical Accessories brand is now providing FAA approved Carbide Skid Shoes for the Robinson R66.

Carbide skid shoes are produced using a patented process to rework standard skid shoes into long lasting, durable shoes made with carbide steel. Through a unique process involving carbide technology, the skid shoes offer a much higher degree of protection as well as reduced operating cost through less wear.

“The expansion of our carbide skid shoe line to support the Robinson R66 is just another example of our wide range of product offerings, serving all rotorcraft customers,” said Jennifer Lunceford, manager, Sales. “Customers from across the industry can rely on the Aeronautical Accessories brand as a trusted alternative to meet their aftermarket spare parts requirements.”

Aeronautical Accessories has offered carbide technology skid shoes for the most popular aircraft makes and models for more than a decade. The new Robinson R66 product is available on an exchange basis to reduce downtime.
