Czech Sport Aircraft is pleased to announce the delivery of the first two EASA-certified PS-28 Cruiser to Spain. The delivery took place this morning during a ceremony at Czech Sport Aircraft’s production facility in Kunovice. The two aircraft will immediately enter into service with the Spanish flight training centre Fly-in-Spain.
Speaking during the delivery ceremony, Matthew Harvey, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Czech Sport Aircraft said, “It is very encouraging to see the PS-28 Cruiser enter into service in a new market with such an important and recognised flight training organisation like Fly-in-Spain. The PS-28 Cruiser is now being operated in 13 countries in Europe and we are receiving very good feedback with regards to its performance in a flight training role. Spain is an important international hub for flight training and we wish to thank Fly-in-Spain for the confidence they have shown in selecting the PS-28 Cruiser for its PPL training requirements.”
Fly-in-Spain training centre is based at Jerez de la Frontera (LEJR) airport in Andalucia, which is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations in Europe with perfect flying weather all year round. The flight schools are CAA-UK approved ATO for PPL training and a CAA-UK approved ATO and Austro-Control Approved ATO/FTO for CPL, as well as offering IR Rating for SEP and ME, MEP and ME-IR.
Commenting upon taking delivery of the aircraft, Hans Nerlinger, Chief Executive Officer of Fly-in-Spain Vejer S.L. said, “Fly-in-Spain is very pleased to be taking delivery of the two aircraft this morning. We already have a large number of PPL students waiting to start their training on the PS-28 Cruiser. We look forward to seeing how the aircraft will perform in operations; however, we have been impressed from the very beginning with the flight characteristics of the PS-28 Cruiser. We are confident that this new aircraft will provide great opportunities to our students in a flight training role. In addition, we look forward to demonstrating the outstanding capabilities of the PS-28 Cruiser to the local market in Spain and Portugal and also further afield due to the international reach of our flight school.”
The aircraft have been delivered in Glass cockpit configuration installed with the newly-developed stall warning system, designed in-house by Czech Sport Aircraft engineers and providing both voice and light alert signals that warn the pilot in advance of reaching the stall speed. Both aircraft have been finished in Moravia Blue Classic Design paint scheme with Exclusive Leather upholstery in Slate Grey with matching Aqua Blue inserts.
Due to its advanced flight performance and robust construction, the PS-28 Cruiser is gaining recognition as the new EASA-certified aircraft of choice for both basic and advanced flight training. The simplified maintenance procedures and low operational costs associated with the aircraft makes the PS-28 Cruiser undoubtedly the most cost effective solution for flight schools around the world.
The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.
Currently a total of almost 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. About 150 aircraft are operating in Europe and enjoying significant sales success. Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.
