SportCruiser Ready For USA

czech sport aircraftCzech Sport Aircraft confirmed that the first two aircraft from the record order for eight SportCruiser signed at the end of June are being prepared for shipment to the USA.  This new shipment follows on from the two units that departed for the USA in July and further strengthens the position of the SportCruiser as one of the leading Light Sport Aircraft in North America.

Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft said, “It only seems like yesterday that we were signing the order for the eight SportCruiser and yet we are already preparing the first two aircraft for shipment.  Back in July we said that our focus was on getting these aircraft swiftly through production and out the door and we are certainly delivering on that.  This is testimony to the hard work and efforts made over the last few months and we remain much focussed on achieving our objectives for the year both in terms of production and sales.”

This new shipment includes the SportCruiser SVAP+ and SportCruiser SVAP Light and both aircraft are installed with the new SkyView Touch™.  The SportCruiser SVAP+ is additionally equipped with Ballistic Recovery System, ADS-B Receiver, Garmin GPS 796 and configured in a customised version of the Czech Sport Aircraft Yellow Classic Design paint scheme with Standard Leather upholstery in Phantom Black.  The SportCruiser SVAP Light is additionally equipped also with Ballistic Recovery System, ADS-B Receiver, Garmin GPS 796 and configured in a customised version of the Bohemia Red Classic Design paint scheme with a striking customised Standard Leather upholstery in Passion Red.

Speaking from the SportCruiser Flight & Distribution Centre in Addision (TX), Patrick Arnzen, President of US Sport Aircraft, said, “We are delighted that the first batch of SportCruiser from our latest order are already being prepared for dispatch to the USA.  After our recent participation in AirVenture 2014, it is clear that the SportCruiser remains a reference point and benchmark for the LSA market and the aircraft continues to generate huge interest and demand.  We are very committed to the promotion of the SportCruiser and the development of our sales network throughout the USA and we now look forward to a strong finish to what is proving to be yet another successful year.”

The SportCruiser SVAP+ offers dual-screen 10” Dynon SkyView instrumentation together with additional enhanced features.  The SportCruiser SVAP Light is based on the increased demand from the U.S. market for an entry-level Light Sport Aircraft that combines affordability and advanced features with the flexibility to upgrade.  SkyView Touch™ is a new option on the SportCruiser for 2014 and adds the convenience of touch when you want it but keeps a full set of buttons and joystick knobs for precise control in turbulence.  Capacitive multi-touch technology allows natural actions such as two finger pinch-to-zoom on the map.  Unlike most touch-based avionics and tablets, SkyView Touch™ preserves SkyView’s sunlight-readable and glare-rejecting screen.

With the aim of ensuring quality, general safety and airworthiness of Light Sport Aircraft, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has introduced more frequent audits of Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers.  Having already conducted several audits of U.S. Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers, the FAA audit of Czech Sport Aircraft took place in 2013 and was the second such audit to take place outside the USA.  The audit focused on all aspects of compliance with FAA accepted Light Sport Aircraft ASTM consensus standards and no safety related issues were found by the FAA inspectors during the Czech Sport Aircraft audit.

The SportCruiser is a double-seat aircrafts of full metal construction.  The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage.  The SportCruiser is certified according to USA ASTM regulations and can be operated in countries recognising LSA regulations such as the USA, South Africa, Australia and some South American countries.

Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced.  Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success.  The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes.  The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market, with the aircraft being operated in over 20 flight schools in the USA alone.

Czech Sport Aircraft is located in Kunovice in the heart of the Czech aviation valley. From 1954 up to the present day several aircrafts have been designed, developed and manufactured in Kunovice. The company was formed based on almost 80 years of aviation pedigree and history. Czech Sport Aircraft is focused on the research, design, development and production of Light Sport Aircraft for basic and advanced flight training, basic military pilot training, general recreational use and air tourism.
