Sheremetyevo Airport has provided services to more than 24 million passengers since the beginning of the year

Sheremetyevo International Airport has summarized its production performance for the first nine months of 2014. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of serviced passengers grew by 8.8% over the same period in 2013, reaching 24,394,000 passengers.

Passenger traffic for international airlines in January-September remained at the level of the previous year, totaling 14,425,000 passengers, with domestic airlines increasing by 25%, totaling 9,970,000 passengers.

According to figures from September 2014, the volume of serviced passengers grew by 7.9% compared with the same period in 2013, amounting to 3,039,000 passengers. Passenger traffic from international airlines in September has reached 1,802,000 passengers, and with domestic airlines it has reached 1,237,000 passengers.

Antalya, Paris, Prague, Beijing, Rome, New-York, Hurghada, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Kiev, and Sharm-el-Sheikh were among the most popular foreign destinations, with St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Sochi, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Mineralnye Vody, Rostov-On-Don, Kaliningrad, Samara, Vladivostok, and Khabarovsk were among the most sought-after domestic destinations.

The main area of growth from passenger traffic in the first nine months was provided by Aeroflot, Transaero, Nordwind Airlines, Donavia, Orenburg Airlines, Nordavia RA, and Air France.

In January-September, Sheremetyevo Airport supported the execution of 193,124 takeoff and landing operations, which is 5.5% more compared with the same period in 2013. In September, the volume of takeoff and landing operations grew by 3.7%, reaching 22,348 operations.
