Czech Sport Aircraft announced that Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, has confirmed the appointment of The Little Aeroplane Company Ltd as the company’s new importer of aircraft and spare parts for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. This formal announcement comes after the agreements were signed between the parties at the end of last year.
Commenting on the announcement, Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, said, “Czech Sport Aircraft and its products are very much household names among the light aircraft community in the United Kingdom and we are delighted to be making this important announcement today. The Little Aeroplane Company and its management are well respected on the market and very familiar with the PS-28 Cruiser. With the experience of already renting their own fleet of G-CJHB and G-CSHB to flight schools in the UK and having PS-28 Cruiser immediately available for customer demonstrations, we are very confident that The Little Aeroplane Company will implement a successful sales network structure and, most importantly, bring the right approach to local customer support. With a significant fleet of PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser already operating in the UK, we look forward to enjoying continued success and developing our position in the Republic of Ireland with the support of The Little Aeroplane Company. We wish them well!”
The Little Aeroplane Company Ltd is based at Cotswold Airport in Kemble and has been appointed as the sole importer of the PS-28 Cruiser and all associated spare parts both for the PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser for the territory of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Commenting on their appointment, Hilton Belter, Managing Director of The Little Aeroplane Company, said, “We have had an association with the PS-28 Cruiser and both Aviation Trading and Czech Sport Aircraft for quite some time now and we are delighted to have successfully reached an agreement in order for The Little Aeroplane Company to become the sole importer of aircraft and spare parts for the UK and Republic of Ireland. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead for the sale of the PS-28 Cruiser, however, it is very important to stress first and foremost that our absolute focus today is on establishing a fully-functioning and reliable local customer service and support infrastructure. The Little Aeroplane Company will hold a comprehensive stock of spare parts ready and available in the UK to be able to rapidly respond to local requirements. This is absolutely paramount to our success and we have already started to recruit staff and build local partnerships to ensure that we set off on the right foot. Everything takes time but we are very determined to succeed. We thank Aviation Trading and Czech Sport Aircraft for the confidence they have shown in us and our vision for establishing a successful structure in the UK and Republic of Ireland.”
The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.
Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success. The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes. The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market, with the aircraft being operated in over 20 flight schools in the USA alone.
Czech Sport Aircraft is located in the city of Kunovice in the heart of the Moravian aviation valley where, from 1954 up to the present day, several aircraft have been designed, developed and manufactured. The company was formed in 2009 adding to almost 80 years of aviation pedigree and history in the city of Kunovice. Czech Sport Aircraft is focused on the research, design, development and production of Light Sport Aircraft for basic and advanced flight training, basic military pilot training, general recreational use and air tourism.
