Czech Sport Aircraf announced that Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, has confirmed the appointment of Sport Aviation S.a.r.l. as the company’s new importer of aircraft and spare parts for Germany and Switzerland. The appointment builds on the long-term successful cooperation with Sport Aviation and expands their territorial coverage, as they also remain the exclusive importer for aircraft and spare parts in France. In parallel, Sport Aviation has entered into a contract with Aviation Trading for the purchase of 6 PS-28 Cruiser as they look to grow the fleet in the region. This formal announcement comes after the agreements were signed between the parties at the end of last year.
Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, said, “We are all very excited about this announcement. We have worked closely with Sport Aviation for almost 3 years and they have done a commendable job both developing their service network in France and successfully growing the fleet of PS-28 Cruiser. With the strategic location of their logistics centre in Haguenau on the French-German border and the close proximity to Switzerland where they are already active with other activities, we are very confident that they will be able to effectively serve the region. In addition, it is very encouraging to have the new order for 6 aircraft covering both Classic and Glass variants that will be delivered throughout 2015 in accordance with the factory’s serial production. Sport Aviation already owns a significant fleet of PS-28 Cruiser that are currently rented to flight schools throughout France. Demand is high and it is important to have a local partner like Sport Aviation who can respond with a range of commercial solutions.”
Commenting on the appointment and new order, Christian Stuck, Co-Owner of Sport Aviation, said, “The whole thing just makes sense and we are very positive about it. We have had a very good relationship with the management of both Czech Sport Aircraft and Aviation Trading over the last few years and there is no doubt that the PS-28 Cruiser remains a very competitive proposition for flight schools and private individuals. Steps have already been made towards inserting a sales and service network into Germany and Switzerland to support those markets and we are very confident that we have the resources and experience to successfully implement such a regional import structure. In order to be effective on the market, we must have a large fleet of aircraft ready and available for sale, rental and service requirements. The new order for the 6 PS-28 Cruiser is only the start of what we expect to be a very busy year ahead.”
Emmanuel Laurent, Co-Owner of Sport Aviation, added, “We are very encouraged to see the confidence that Aviation Trading has shown in Sport Aviation. This structure has been under discussion for some time and both parties felt that this was the right moment to move forward. It is very important to respect the different customs and requirements on each market and this is something we are paying particular attention to as we develop our regional network. In France we have the very first PS-28 Cruiser with SkyView successfully placed with a rental customer and we have already made provisions to deploy a demonstrator aircraft into Germany that will be used for customer presentations.”
