On the first day at Aero Friedrichshafen 2015, Czech Sport Aircraft is very pleased to announce the delivery of another PS-28 Cruiser installed with the newly-certified Dynon SkyView avionics suite. The aircraft was formally delivered this morning to Sport Aviation on the company’s exhibition stand and will see F-HSAB enter into service in France where the aircraft will be rented for flight training.
Speaking from Aero Friedrichshafen 2015, Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, said, “We are delighted to be handing over yet another PS-28 Cruiser to Sport Aviation this morning. After delivering the first aircraft installed with the new SkyView system to France at the end of last year, we have been very pleased with the operational feedback we have received and it is encouraging to now have F-HSAB join the fleet. The 2015 model is extremely well equipped and is certainly unrivalled in its class, offering fantastic value to both flight schools and private recreational flyers. This is also testimony to Czech Sport Aircraft’s drive for continuous product improvement in terms of technology, performance and especially flight safety.”
Commenting from Friedrichshafen during the handover of F-HSAB, Christian Stuck, Co-Owner of Sport Aviation, said, “It is great to be taking delivery of F-HSAB this morning and we are also extremely pleased to have the aircraft on display throughout the exhibition this week. The PS-28 Cruiser is very well established now on the French market, successfully operating with a number of flight schools. Sport Aviation is in the process of actively developing its sales and service network within Germany and Switzerland and we look forward to engaging with prospective customers here in Friedrichshafen over the coming days. We now await the delivery of the next aircraft as part of the large order we announced at the beginning of the year.”
F-HSAB has been delivered in the ever-popular Czech Sport Aircraft Style Design paint scheme, combined with Slate Grey Standard Leather upholstery. The aircraft is configured as standard with SkyView Avionics Suite and installed with the optional Sensenich fixed 3-blade propeller. The Sensenich propeller offers advantages in terms of the maintenance schedule, where only annual inspections are to be performed irrespective of the number of flight hours and Time Between Overhaul is 2000 flight hours irrespective of the age of the propeller. Due to the use of metal erosion shields on the blade leading edges, the Sensenich propeller offers an increased level of resistance to erosive wear from rain, sand and other elements. The erosion shields are co-cured with the blade prepreg, providing a smoother finish and a superior bond. The high gloss finish to the Sensenich propeller provides UV and environmental protection.
The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.
Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success. The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes. The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market, with the aircraft being operated in over 20 flight schools in the USA alone.
