First PS-28 Cruiser Installed With SkyView Avionics Suite Delivered To The United Kingdom

Czech Sport Aircraft announced the delivery of the very first PS-28 Cruiser installed with dual-screen Dynon 10” SkyView Avionics Suite to the United Kingdom. The aircraft was delivered to The Little Aeroplane Company by Aviation Trading this morning at the company’s production facility in Kunovice and will see G-OOPY enter into service with a private customer for recreational flying.

Speaking during the handover in Kunovice, Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft said, “We are delighted to be handing over G-OOPY this morning and it is encouraging to see that yet another PS-28 Cruiser will be delivered to a private customer in the UK.  We are establishing a nice mix of operator base in the UK having delivered several aircraft already both to flight schools and private individuals.  This delivery further confirms the PS-28 Cruiser’s suitability as a cross country aircraft for recreational flying supported by the long endurance, cabin comfort and range of user-friendly on-board systems.  SkyView is one of the most complete and latest generation of integrated avionics suite available for this category of aircraft and we are pleased to see the first PS-28 Cruiser enter the UK fleet installed with this equipment.”

Commenting upon taking delivery of G-OOPY, Hilton Belter, Managing Director of The Little Aeroplane Company, said, “The delivery this morning of the first aircraft since our appointment as importer for the UK and Republic of Ireland at the beginning of the year is a very important milestone for The Little Aeroplane Company. The PS-28 Cruiser can now be found operating in the United Kingdom with every possible cockpit configuration ranging from the Classic with analogue instrumentation through to the Glass both with D100/D120 and now with the state-of-the-art SkyView system.  The Little Aeroplane Company remains positive about the opportunities that lie ahead for the sale of the PS-28 Cruiser and we certainly remain focussed on establishing a fully-functioning and reliable local customer service and support infrastructure.”

G-OOPY has been delivered in Silesia Grey Style Design paint scheme, combined with Slate Grey Standard Leather upholstery and finished with the optional Midnight Interior Package with black instrument panelling.  The aircraft is configured as standard with SkyView Avionics Suite and installed with the optional Ballistic Recovery System and Sensenich fixed 3-blade propeller.

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction.  The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage.  The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.

Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced.  Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success.  The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes.  The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market, with the aircraft being operated in over 20 flight schools in the USA alone.
