World Fuel-Colt and Baldwin Aviation Expand SMS Resources for Customers

World Fuel | Colt has selected Baldwin Aviation as its solution partner for Safety Management System (SMS) programs.

Baldwin Aviation, a recognized leader in SMS, provides seamless SMS training and document management for World Fuel | Colt Trip Support services, leveraging proprietary Baldwin technologies such as SMSLite, SMSPlus, SMSPrime and SMSTransport, SAVVYdoc and SAFETY CO-OP.

“Baldwin is a great addition to our existing solution partners. World Fuel | Colt customers will have access to the resources needed to start new safety programs or improve existing ones. The goal is to help our customers meet their regulatory and compliance requirements more easily via an accessible, streamlined process from industry names they already know and trust,” said Jeff Briand, Senior Vice President, Global Trip Support.

The partnership will allow clients to access custom-created SMS programs tailored to their flight department’s operation. The base program includes a complete system for online document management, tracking, and reports, and can be expanded to include software that manages the regular maintenance and updating of critical manuals. Other enhancements include a new Trip Risk Analysis Tool (TRAT) that assesses multi-day, multi-leg trip risks.

On-going support services include gap analysis, an interim safety manager program, on-site emergency response table-top drills, pre-audit reviews and preparation, and on-site safety training programs. Baldwin is an IS-BAO and ISSSA registered company that was selected to support Canadian Business Aviation Association’s aggregate safety database program as well as the FAA’s Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program
