With the backdrop of the National Business Aviation Association Convention and Exhibition (NBAA 2015), World Fuel Services has announced that Clay Lacy Aviation locations at both Boeing Field/King County International Airport (KBFI) in Seattle, Washington and Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) in Los Angeles, California have signed with the Air Elite® Network, growing the membership to a total of 51 Diamond Service FBOs worldwide.

Both locations will be Ascent branded locations within the network. Founded in 1968 by an aviation legend, Clay Lacy Aviation established the first private jet management and charter company west of the Mississippi. Then in 1981, the company opened the first all-jet FBO at Los Angeles’ Van Nuys Airport followed by a second FBO in 2008 at Seattle’s historic Boeing Field.

Today, these FBO’s set the standard for private aviation services worldwide, offering a comprehensive suite of aviation services to business & general aviation customers including:

• FBO Services
• Private Jet Charter
• Aircraft Management
• Maintenance
• Avionics & Cabin Entertainment
• Interior Completions
• Sales & Acquisitions
• Aerial Cinematography

Both locations offer 24/7 quick turn service, U.S. Customs points of entry, and drive-up, planeside access for ground transportation.

“We are excited to join Air Elite’s worldwide network of uniquely exceptional FBOs. The company’s global resources and expert team of professionals provide us the best tools and resources to continually enhance the FBO experience for passengers and their crewmembers,” said Brian Kirkdoffer, Clay Lacy Aviation’s President & CEO.

Clay Lacy Aviation’s Van Nuys location is currently undergoing a significant expansion and improvement project with the addition of an adjacent 6-acre South Campus development and upgrade to existing facilities. With a projected completion in spring 2016, Clay Lacy’s new South Campus will feature 63,000 square-feet of hangar space, 21,000 square-feet of premium, full-service office space, and 3.5 acres of additional ramp area.

“For decades, Clay Lacy Aviation has set the standard for what a full-service FBO should be,” said John Rau, World Fuel Services’ Executive Vice President of Aviation. “The company’s collection of awards and accolades is a testament to Clay Lacy’s commitment to providing ‘customer-centric’ service, while striving to be the best at the many services they offer to the flying public. Air Elite and World Fuel Services welcome Clay Lacy Aviation with great enthusiasm.

With this welcomed membership growth, the network has now surpassed its goal of 50 members within 2015. Steady growth goals have been set for the future expansion of the network, with many additional FBO operators currently in discussions with World Fuel Services to join the network in late 2015 or early 2016. The Air Elite Network is comprised of 51 uniquely exceptional diamond service locations worldwide and continues to grow steadily. The network was established in late 2011 and each FBO must meet a number of airport, facility and service quality standards in order to qualify for membership.
