FlexJet Introduces Global Access – Distance-Based Price System

Flexjet LLC, offering travelers access to the world’s most luxurious fleet of private jets, introduced Global Access, a first-of-its-kind flexible lease program providing access to a large-cabin fleet for long-range international travel. Global Access offers an hourly rate structure that reflects the efficiencies of long-range travel.

A model available nowhere else in private jet travel, Global Access is a lease that grants participants access to Flexjet’s fleet of large-cabin, long-range aircraft, with responsive hourly rates that decrease the longer the distance flown.

Global Access by Flexjet can be added to existing fractional ownership contracts or acquired through standalone leases. Unlike traditional fractional ownership programs, participation in Global Access does not entail buying shares in a particular jet. Instead, participants will be able to access Flexjet’s entire fleet of large-cabin aircraft, with Flexjet providing the most mission-suitable large-cabin jet for each international trip requested.

“We began offering Global Access on a test basis in early 2015, and have been carefully refining it since then based on the response of fractional Owners and corporate flight departments,” said Michael Silvestro, Flexjet’s Chief Executive Officer. “As we publicly launch Global Access, the program is rimed to serve a segment of the private jet travel market that needs a flexible means of accessing large-cabin aircraft for nonstop international travel.”

Global Access offers significant benefits for corporate flight departments. Companies that primarily operate domestically would not have to take aircraft offline for international trips. They also do not need to worry about arranging repositioning legs for international flights. Finally, they can rely on  Flexjet’s international flight planningexpertise to manage the unique details of global travel.

All Global Access participants will have access to Flexjet’s growing fleet of long-range aircraft, including the Bombardier Global Express and Gulfstream G450. In addition, the program will offer access to long-range aircraft that will be joining the Global Access fleet over the coming years, including the Gulfstream G650, the Gulfstream G500 and the Aerion AS2, which will be the world’s first supersonic business jet.

Global Access will open up the world to our current fractional Owners as well as corporate flight departments that have a need for large-cabin aircraft with international range, but not enough to justify whole aircraft ownership,” added Silvestro. “Global Access makes large-cabin international private jet travel more accessible than ever before, and, with responsive pricing, we return to travelers the savings from flying long distances in more cost-effective cruising mode, something no other company does.”
