Aero Vodochody keeps growing – both in sales and employees
AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE created three hundred new jobs and its sales rose by a third in 2013.
The largest aerospace manufacturer in the Czech Republic proved its great shape. During 2013 AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE managed to accelerate its growth and the company sales reached almost CZK 3.9 billion. In the last year total profit of the company exceeded CZK 340 millions.
Besides the financial results, Aero excelled also in human resources – it created three hundred new positions. AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE also continually expands the scale of benefits for its employees, in September 2013 Aero opened a new day care centre, it broadens the offer of trainings and language courses etc. The HR management of the company was awarded twice on prestigious competitions in the last year: it became the SODEXO Regional employer of the year and also the Best employer in the Czech Patron competition organized by the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. grew primarily thanks to increase of deliveries of the S-76D helicopters to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. In the second half of the year 2013, Aero managed to deliver 22 of these helicopters. The sales grew also thanks to new programs, especially deliveries of prototypes of wing fixed leading edge for new Bombardier CSeries aircraft and manufacturing of first prototypes of all cabin doors, cargo ramp, fixed leading edge and rear fuselage of military transport Embraer KC-390 aircraft. In both of these programs, the company participates on the development of fixed leading edges. Aero has also prepared for launch of new programs, such as Airbus A321 fuselage panels, and continued in other production programs of its portfolio.
In this year, Aero expects growth by tens of percent based on the beginning of new programs, deliveries of prototypes for KC-390 and S-76D helicopters. Since the start of 2014, AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE has opened a new hall for landing gears production and it has signed a contract for deliveries of honeycomb panels for Bombardier Aerospace’s new Global 7000 and Global 8000 business aircraft.
AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s., which is focused on the design and manufacturing of military and civilian aircraft, is the largest aviation manufacturer in the Czech Republic.
