Another PS-28 Cruiser Order From Switzerland

ps28Czech Sport Aircraft is very pleased to announce a new order from Switzerland for the PS-28 Cruiser.  The purchase agreement was signed today with LightSportAircraft.ch GmbH, Czech Sport Aircraft’s distributor for Switzerland.  After the delivery earlier this year of two PS-28 Cruiser to a Swiss flight school based at Lausanne-Blecherette Airport, this new order will now see the EASA-certified aircraft enter into service with Groupe de Vol à Moteur de Neuchâtel in Colombier where it will be used for flight training.

Speaking upon signing the new order, Matthew Harvey, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Czech Sport Aircraft said, “It is very important for us to have a strong finish to the year and this new order is really a good sign.  Switzerland is a very important market for the company where we have sold several aircraft in the past.  The delivery of the first two EASA-certified PS-28 Cruiser to the country earlier this year was a key step for us and we are now delighted to have received this important recognition from Groupe de Vol à Moteur de Neuchâtel.  We are working very closely with LightSportAircraft.ch in order to ensure that we achieve our common objectives for 2014 on the Swiss market.”

Commenting on the PS-28 Cruiser and the new order, Urs Heim, President, LightSportAircraft.ch GmbH said, “It is remarkable to see the success that the PS-28 Cruiser has achieved in the last 18 months since certification in the new CS-LSA category.  We are working hard here in Switzerland to demonstrate the capabilities of what is a fantastic aircraft for flight training.  The first two PS-28 Cruiser delivered back in April have been performing very well and the feedback is encouraging.  This new order is confirmation of that and we look forward to supporting Groupe de Vol à Moteur de Neuchâtel when their new aircraft will enter into service.”

The new order will see the PS-28 Cruiser delivered in Glass cockpit configuration installed with both the newly-launched Cabin Comfort Package and Stall Warning.  In addition to the most spacious cockpit in its class, the Cabin Comfort Package provides additional comfort through a system enabling cabin heating together with defogging of the windshield.  Although the PS-28 Cruiser demonstrates excellent stall characteristics, in response to recommendations of instructors from leading flight schools, Czech Sport Aircraft engineers developed in-house a Stall Warning system that received EASA certification for the PS-28 Cruiser and is available to customers.  The aircraft has been configured in popular Czech Sport Aircraft Yellow Classic Design paint scheme with Standard Leather upholstery in Slate Grey.

Due to its advanced flight performance and robust construction, the PS-28 Cruiser is gaining recognition as the new EASA-certified aircraft of choice for both basic and advanced flight training. The simplified maintenance procedures and low operational costs associated with the aircraft makes the PS-28 Cruiser undoubtedly the most cost effective solution for flight schools around the world.

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.

Currently a total of almost 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. About 150 aircraft are operating in Europe and enjoying significant sales success. Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.
