Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is the second fastest growing capital city airport in Europe with the passenger growth of as much as 32 percent. The data were released by the European airport trade representative body, ACI Europe, in its report for the first half of 2014.
The growth trend at the Belgrade airport continued in July with the record 539,823 passengers, adding to around 2.5 million passengers handled since the beginning of the year.
The daily records were exceeded several times since the start of the summer season, and the busiest day was August 2 when 20,380 people used the services of the Belgrade Airport.
