BGS Starts Operation in Riga International Airport
BGS, an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fuelling services, has announced its expansion to Riga International, the largest airport in the Baltic States. Since establishing its presence in the main aviation hub in Latvia, BGS has already provided fuelling support to its first customer in Riga – Bulgarian BH Air.
As of now, in Riga airport BGS provides into-plane fuelling and de-fuelling services for all types of airplanes, including commercial, business and general aviation aircraft. The company also operates a 300 m3 aviation fuel storage facility and a park of fuelling trucks which ensure 24/7 supply of JET A-1 fuel. Riga has become the 8th airport in the BGS network.

Each year Riga airport serves approx. 66 000 scheduled and charter flights conducted by passenger and cargo airlines. Moreover, the numbers keep growing with every year, and we delighted with the opportunity to support both current and future airlines operating to/from the Latvian capital. We are also grateful to BH Air for choosing BGS LV and thus becoming our Latvian subsidiary’s launch customer,” comments Linas Geguzis, the Chairman of the Board at BGS.
