On the first day of Aero Friedrichshafen 2015, Czech Sport Aircraft was showcasing a 2015 production year PS-28 Cruiser on its stand equipped with dual-screen Dynon 10” SkyView Avionics Suite.
The delivery of the very first PS-28 Cruiser installed with the newly-certified SkyView system took place at the end of last year and Czech Sport Aircraft now offers this state-of-the-art avionics suite as standard on all 2015 production year PS-28 Cruiser with glass cockpit.
SkyView is the most complete and latest generation of integrated avionics suite from US manufacturer Dynon Avionics. This leading edge system includes redundant networks and systems, incredibly bright screens, highest resolution terrain data for the map and synthetic vision, and ease-of-use unsurpassed by other avionics products on the market. The combination of primary flight display, detailed engine monitoring and complete GPS navigation makes the system a joy to fly behind.
Specifically within Europe, Czech Sport Aircraft continues to enjoy considerable sales success and the PS-28 Cruiser has now firmly established itself as the new modern benchmark for flight training. The European fleet of PS-28 Cruiser continues to grow towards the 100-unit milestone including deliveries and current production orders, which is a remarkable achievement in just less than three years since certification at the beginning of 2012. The aircraft has already been selected and is operating in 13 European countries in a flight training role, which is testimony to the leadership of the PS-28 Cruiser within this important segment of the market.
The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.
Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success. The excellent flight characteristics of the aircraft and robust construction of the airframe are perfectly suited to entry-level students and this makes the SportCruiser the ideal platform for training purposes. The facts on the market today clearly confirm the leadership of the SportCruiser within this important segment of the Light Sport Aircraft market, with the aircraft being operated in over 20 flight schools in the USA alone.
