Czechsport Aircraft Delivers Another PS-28 Cruiser To Germany

czech sport aircraft logoOn the second day of Aero Friedrichshafen 2014, Czech Sport Aircraft is pleased to announce the delivery of another PS-28 Cruiser to Germany.  The delivery took place this morning at the company’s facility in Kunovice.

Commenting from Aero Friedrichshafen 2014, Matthew Harvey, Co-Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft said, “The PS-28 Cruiser is now establishing a very strong position on the German market.  The aircraft is successfully operating in the country in both a flight training role and for private recreational use.  The German market is very important for Czech Sport Aircraft and we see great potential for continued success especially in light of the recent technological enhancements which we have introduced to the aircraft, specifically in relation to the Sensenich 3-blade propeller that provides the necessary level of noise reduction in order to comply with the specific German reduced noise level requirements.”

D-EGPZ has been delivered in standard glass cockpit configuration with customised paint scheme and Slate Grey Standard Leather upholstery.  The aircraft is additionally equipped with the Sensenich 3-blade propeller and Stall Warning.

Although the PS-28 Cruiser demonstrates excellent stall characteristics, in response to recommendations of instructors from leading flight schools, Czech Sport Aircraft developed a stall warning system that received EASA certification in 2013 for the PS-28 Cruiser and is available to customers.  The stall warning system, designed and developed in-house by Czech Sport Aircraft engineers, provides both voice and light alert signals that warn the pilot in advance of reaching the stall speed.  In the specific field of flight training, this new system will enable the student pilots to familiarise themselves with a particular system that they will later use on other aircraft.

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction.  The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage.  The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified by EASA for VFR Day operations according to the CS-LSA certification regulation and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA type certification.

Due to its advanced flight performance and robust construction, the PS-28 Cruiser is gaining recognition as the new EASA-certified aircraft of choice for both basic and advanced flight training. The simplified maintenance procedures and low operational costs associated with the aircraft makes the PS-28 Cruiser undoubtedly the most cost effective solution for flight schools around the world.

Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced.  Over 200 aircraft are operating in the USA and almost 200 aircraft are operating in Europe where the company is enjoying significant sales success.  Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.

The PS-38 Tourer is the first step in the evolution of the Czech Sport Aircraft product family based on the market-leading PS-28 Cruiser that has already firmly established itself as the benchmark new-generation aircraft for flight training in Europe.  The PS-38 Tourer is a single engine, all-metal, high-wing monoplane of semi-monocoque structure with two side-by-side seats currently in development.  Czech Sport Aircraft is evaluating type certification of the PS-38 Tourer according to either the CS-VLA or ELA 1 certification regulation in Europe and expects the aircraft to satisfy demand for a new-generation, cost-effective, multi-application high-wing solution for cross-country flying, air tourism and law enforcement operations.
