FL Technics to Provide Powerplant Unit and Landing Gear MRO Consulting Services
FL Technics, a global provider of integrated aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, continues to successfully expand the range of its capabilities and has recently launched Engine, APU and Landing Gear MRO consulting services. In addition to maintenance, leasing and exchange management, the company will offer its expert advice on various powerplant technical issues and re-delivery process.
According to FL Technics, during 2015 – 2018 Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft type Engine and APU segment is expected to generate a significant increase in shop visit and maintenance demand. In turn, it will cause a surge in short-term and long-term spare lease asset activity. In response to such trends, the company has decided to launch a wide range of consulting services. These will cover AOG issue resolution (including advice on proper troubleshooting practices), Engine, APU, LG on-wing and off-wing workscoping, Shop Visit Workscope review, as well as full Engine Asset Management and other relevant concerns.
“As the value of a spare engine asset may range anywhere between $0.5 and 6 million, proper delivery/re-delivery process management and performance tracking during operations are especially sensitive processes. This is exactly why during long- and short-term lease it is critical to have prompt solutions in case of an AOG, Bird Strike, powerplant failure, in-flight shutdown or any insurance related discrepancies. Optimal workscope preparation, Material Management, and Cost Control as well as Maintenance reserves compensation and Final Invoice reviews before, during and after a shop visit may potentially cut the expenses by up to 50%.
