Jet Aviation Basel was recently appointed by Airbus Corporate Jets to design and render a VIP cabin interior for an Airbus ACJ350, the new generation composite aircraft by Airbus, that visited Geneva during EBACE 2016.
Airbus brought to Geneva during EBACE 2016 a flight-test A350 to show selected visitors, and presented a gallery of cabin interior Centers inside the aircraft.
Jet Aviation Basel’s Design Studio created a stunning cabin interior with renderings by ACA Advanced Computer Art GmbH for display onboard the green aircraft. The design takes on a new approach to VVIP aviation interior design, with a focus on how completions clients might appreciate the future of flying in a next-generation aircraft. Additional renderings presented alongside a 3D printed model of the cabin were also available to view during EBACE.
Director of Design at the Jet Aviation Basel Completions Center Elisabeth Harvey explains, “Our design takes inspiration from both high-end hotel and residential design philosophies, balanced with the most innovative new technology available in private aviation.
“A large lounge and dining area is segmented into different areas for eating, relaxing and socializing. Created for the “wow” factor, this area is balanced by an elegant and extremely spacious private suite made up of master bedroom, bathroom and private lobby. A heated towel rail and a spacious walk-in shower feature in the bathroom; induction chargers are imagined within the bedroom nightstand; and electro chromatic shade systems transform the living space from private to open plan at a touch of a button.”
The collaboration is the latest in a long history of partnership between Airbus Corporate Jets and Jet Aviation, and reflects the Completions Center’s history of technological innovation.
“We selected the Basel Completions Center to render an A350 cabin interior for the EBACE convention based on their demonstrated capabilities to execute an interior fit-out on wide-body and composite aircraft,” says Airbus Corporate Jets Managing Director Benoit Defforge.
Neil Boyle, senior vice president & general manager, states, “This appointment recognizes Jet Aviation Basel as one of the leading centers for wide-body aircraft completions, particularly for new generation composite aircraft. We are proud to continue our long standing relationship with Airbus to help the Airbus A350 become a most appealing wide-body VIP interior solution.”
Jet Aviation Basel has successfully delivered 19 VIP Airbus cabins since 2000, from ACJ319 to ACJ340-600.
