Kazan international airport has increased passenger traffic by 14.7 % in five months

During first five months of the current year passenger traffic of the Kazan international airport has reached 671 201 people. It is 14.7 % more than on the same period of the previous year.

368 530 people have been carried on domestic flights in five months. It is 20,3% (+ 61 831 passengers) more than during the period since January till June in 2013. Flight to Moscow is still the most popular one with more than 297 000 people. Passengers also often fly to St.Petersburg (28 363 passengers) and Sochi (5 620 passengers). Transit flights Kazan-Ufa-Surgut and Kazan-Chelyabinsk-Novosibirsk are also very popular. 15 467 passengers have been carried on these flights on the reporting period.

Passenger traffic on international flights has increased by 8,6% and achieved 302 671 passengers. Comparing to the last year figures the number of passengers grew for more 24 070 people. Nearly 48 000 passengers have been carried to the near abroad countries and more than 251 000 passengers to the far abroad. In this category flights to Dushanbe, Khujand, Tashkent and Almaty (CIS countries), and touristic flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Dubai and Sharjah (UAE), Bangkok and Phuket (Thailand), Antalya and Istanbul (Turkey), Goa (India) are the most popular.

Movements for the period from January to May have increased by 18.8% (+791) as compared to the same period of the previous year.
