1 million 847 thou. 258 passengers have made the use of International airport “Kazan” services, as the results of its activity in 2013 manifested, which is 24, 2% more than in 2012. In compliance with the data provided by ACI EUROPE, passenger flow growth in the Kazan airport 8.6 exceeds the average index of passenger flow growth among the European airports, and 2.5 times – among the Russian ones.
Out of 109 airports from the list of airports with the passenger flow lower than 5 million passengers the airport “Kazan” has given way only to the aero-harbors of Arada (Rumania), Chita (Russia) and Zadar (Croatia).
Aleksey Starostin, the General Director of International airport “Kazan” OJSC gave the following comment of the Report data: “Successful results of the last year have occurred due to the modernization and reconstruction of Kazan airport, installation of modern techniques for passengers and aircrafts servicing, opening of new routes, increasing the range of services for passengers. This year the priority directions of the airport are: the increase of passenger servicing quality, IT technologies implementation, opening of regular European flights and enrollment of European companies.
We are sure that the development strategy selected by us will allow preserving steady positive dynamics”.
