In the first decade of February, 2016 Meridian Air Company received authorization of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) upon early completion of an advanced approval procedure that proves the Airline complies with Part-TCO (Third Country Operators) requirements.
Such authorization allows the air operator to acquire commercial air operations permit to EASA Member States without additional permits of individual EU member states.
In case such authorization is not obtained, the airlines of the countries that are not EASA Member States would have to apply for an advanced permit process in each individual country and provide the required documentation, fill in application forms specific to each country, which in turn would create additional difficulties for flight operations management.
“Once we have received the approval decision of European aviation authorities upon completion of such authorization procedure, we find the procedures of flight operations management to become much easier and simplified, which creates considerable advantages for our Airline to compete successfully in the Russian business aviation sector”, Mr. Vladimir Lapinsky, CEO of Meridian Air Company, announced.
