ps2822. 11. 2013 – Czech Sport Aircraft is pleased to announce the signature of a new order with the Austrian Approved Training Organisation AeronautX Luftfahrtschule for one PS-28 Cruiser.  In addition, Czech Sport Aircraft confirms the appointment of AeronautX Luftfahrtschule as the company’s new distributor for Austria.  This new order will see the very first EASA-certified PS-28 Cruiser enter into service with a flight school in Austria.

Commenting on the new order and the continued expansion of the company’s distribution network, Matthew Harvey, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Czech Sport Aircraft said, “Once again, the PS-28 Cruiser has been selected by a leading European flight school and we are very pleased to see the aircraft entering a new and exciting market like Austria.  AeronautX Luftfahrtschule carried out a very thorough study of the aircraft and, considering the extensive flight training operations that they have, it is very satisfying to see the PS-28 Cruiser receive such recognition.  We are very confident that the PS-28 Cruiser will establish a strong reputation in Austria and, with the support of AeronautX Luftfahrtschule as our new national distributor, we look forward to achieving success on this important General Aviation market.”

AeronautX Luftfahrtschule was established in 1997 and is the leading Approved Training Organisation in Austria based at Linz International Airport (LOWL), providing modular training up to ATPL(A) and MPL training.  AeronautX Luftfahrtschule was the first flight school in Austria to receive FTO-Approval in 2006 and is one of only 14 training organisations  worldwide to provide MPL (Multi-Crew Pilot License) training.

Jörg Oberhofer, Chief Executive Officer & Head of Training, AeronautX Luftfahrtschule GmbH, said, “This is an important step for AeronautX Luftfahrtschule and one that we have taken after lengthy evaluation of the aircraft and the benefits and opportunities provided.  It is important that we offer the best training solutions to our broad range of students and we firmly believe that the PS-28 Cruiser offers something new and exciting to the new generation of pilot.  AeronautX Luftfahrtschule looks forward to introducing this modern aircraft into flight training operations and to demonstrating the PS-28 Cruiser to other flight schools and private individuals.  Czech Sport Aircraft has established a strong brand on the market that stands for a quality product and we are pleased to now be representing them here in Austria.”

The newly-ordered PS-28 Cruiser will be the first of its type to enter into the large fleet of AeronautX Luftfahrtschule and will be used for basic VFR pilot training.  The aircraft will be configured with analogue instrumentation and will be installed with Garmin GTR 225 Comm radio and the newly-developed stall warning system, designed in-house by Czech Sport Aircraft engineers and providing both voice and light alert signals that warn the pilot in advance of reaching the stall speed.  In line with AeronautX Luftfahrtschule’s strict safety policy it was obvious to also equip the PS-28 cruiser with a Ballistic Recovery System.

Due to its advanced flight performance and robust construction, the PS-28 Cruiser is gaining recognition as the new EASA-certified aircraft of choice for both basic and advanced flight training. The simplified maintenance procedures and low operational costs associated with the aircraft makes the PS-28 Cruiser undoubtedly the most cost effective solution for flight schools around the world.

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.

Currently a total of almost 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced. About 150 aircraft are operating in Europe and enjoying significant sales success. Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.
