New Orders For 2014 Start To Roll In From France

czaCzech Sport Aircraft is very pleased to announce a new order from France for an EASA-certified PS-28 Cruiser that will once again enter into service in a flight training role.  The order was confirmed over the weekend through the signature of a purchase agreement between Aviation Trading s.r.o. and Sport Aviation Sarl, the company’s distributor for France.

Commenting after signing the purchase agreement, Matthew Harvey, Co-Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft, said, “We enjoyed huge success on the French market last year with 7 PS-28 Cruiser delivered to air clubs across the country, where the aircraft is being used extensively in a flight training role.  It’s very encouraging to be making such a strong start to 2014 and it is testimony to the first class service and good reputation of Sport Aviation who have the full support of Czech Sport Aircraft.  We are very excited about the year ahead as we move forward with our international expansion as well as consolidating the very strong position that we currently enjoy in Europe and the USA.  Czech Sport Aircraft continues to develop and improve the PS-28 Cruiser in spite of the aircraft already being recognised as the benchmark modern platform for flight training.”

This new order is for yet another PS-28 Cruiser Classic with analogue instrumentation that will be delivered to an aircraft rental company based in the Alsace region of France to the north east of the country.  This configuration equipped with VOR/LOC/GS navigation device continues to be popular on the French market.  In addition, the aircraft will be equipped with the Sensenich fixed 3-blade propeller offered as an option in 2014.  This US-manufactured propeller offers several advantages both in terms of the maintenance schedule and durability.  Due to the use of metal erosion shields on the blades’ leading edges, the Sensenich propeller offers an increased level of resistance to erosive wear from rain, sand and other elements.  The erosion shields are co-cured with the blade prepeg, providing a smoother finish and superior bond.

Speaking after placing the new order, Christian Stuck, Co-Owner of Sport Aviation, said, “We are very confident that we can achieve even more success this year than we did in 2013 and this new order puts us firmly on the right track.  The PS-28 Cruiser is now well-established in France and the 7 aircraft delivered last year are performing very well in a flight training role.  Sport Aviation continues with its efforts to promote the PS-28 Cruiser throughout the country but, most importantly, strives hard to provide the highest level of after sales service to the current fleet.  We are very optimistic as we move forward into 2014 and we hope to be announcing yet more orders in the very near future.”

The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction.  The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage.  The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified for VFR Day operations according to EASA CS-LSA regulations and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA Type Certification.

Currently a total of 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced and delivered to customers throughout the world.  Over 200 units of SportCruiser have been delivered to the USA and over 150 units of SportCruiser and PS-28 Cruiser combined have been delivered to Europe where the company enjoys significant sales success.  Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.
