On the first day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014, Czech Sport Aircraft announced the delivery of yet another EASA-certified PS-28 Cruiser to the United Kingdom. The delivery took place at Czech Sport Aircraft’s production facility in Kunovice. G-TIPY will enter into service for private recreational use, also confirming the position of the PS-28 Cruiser as a market leader for cross-country flying and air tourism.
Commenting on the delivery, Matthew Harvey, Co-Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft said, “We are delighted to be delivering yet another PS-28 Cruiser to the expanding fleet in the UK. While we are very pleased with the continued sales success of the PS-28 Cruiser, it is important that we stay ahead in terms of technology and enhanced capabilities. Czech Sport Aircraft is constantly seeking to improve the aircraft with regards to all aspects of safety, performance and design. This has been confirmed by the introduction of the stall warning system, the launch of the enhanced cabin heating and defogging system and the recent announcement concerning the optional configuration with state-of-the-art dual screen SkyView avionics.”
G-TIPY has been delivered with a customised Silesia Grey Style Design paint scheme, elegantly combined with Exclusive Leather upholstery in Phantom Black with Midnight Grey inserts. The aircraft is configured with Glass cockpit and additionally equipped with Ballistic Recovery System and Cabin Comfort Package with advanced heating and defogging system. G-TIPY enters into service once again as a result of the successful cooperation with the company’s national distributor for the United Kingdom, Kairos Aviation and continues the rapid expansion of the UK PS-28 Cruiser fleet.
Speaking from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014, Peter Foggin, Managing Director of Kairos Aviation, said, “We look forward to G-TIPY arriving here in the UK very soon. Kairos Aviation has enjoyed a nice mix of sales so far with the PS-28 Cruiser being selected by both flight schools for PPL training and private individuals for recreational flying. This really shows the versatility of the aircraft. G-CJHB has already turned a lot of heads during the first day of the festival here in Goodwood. The aircraft not only has the design features and ramp appeal to attract attention on the ground but it also has the flight characteristics in the air and low operating costs that make the PS-28 Cruiser so competitive on the market.”
The PS-28 Cruiser is a double-seat aircraft of full metal construction. The aircraft is arranged as a low-wing mono-plane with cantilevered wings and conventional empennage. The PS-28 Cruiser is type certified by EASA for VFR Day operations according to the CS-LSA certification regulation and can be fully commercially operated in EASA countries or in countries where the PS-28 Cruiser obtained local CAA type certification.
Currently a total of over 500 PS-28 Cruiser and SportCruiser have been produced and delivered to customers throughout the world. Over 200 units of SportCruiser have been delivered to the USA and over 150 units of SportCruiser and PS-28 Cruiser combined have been delivered to Europe where the company enjoys significant sales success. Due to its robust construction, ease of maintenance and superior flight characteristics, the PS-28 Cruiser is the perfect platform for basic and advanced flight training, air clubs, basic military training, recreational use and air tourism.
The PS-38 Tourer is the first step in the evolution of the Czech Sport Aircraft product family based on the market-leading PS-28 Cruiser that has already firmly established itself as the benchmark new-generation aircraft for flight training in Europe. The aircraft was formally launched by Czech Sport Aircraft at the Aero Friedrichshafen 2014 exhibition. The PS-38 Tourer is a single engine, all-metal, high-wing monoplane of semi-monocoque structure with two side-by-side seats currently in development. Czech Sport Aircraft is evaluating type certification of the PS-38 Tourer according to either the CS-VLA or ELA 1 certification regulation in Europe and expects the aircraft to satisfy demand for a new-generation, cost-effective, multi-application high-wing solution for cross-country flying, air tourism and law enforcement operations.
