Passengers’ Health is Priority at Moscow Domodedovo Airport

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is taking preventive measures in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population following the information on the Ebola fever.

The Directorate of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in Moscow Region intensified the quarantine control over arriving passengers at the air checkpoint on the Russian state border at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Involving specialists, the authorities held training sessions for medical staff of the airport in order to prepare them for prompt actions in case of revealing people infected with (suspected to be infected with) the Ebola virus.

Sanitary and quarantine control specialists of the Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) control over aircraft arriving from African countries, which also includes using pyrometers (devices for contactless body temperature measurement).

The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in collaboration with the staff of the medical service of the airport adjusted the schemes for announcing about the cases of revealing people infected with (suspected to be infected with) the virus, conducted an audit of the necessary equipment in medical services of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

The highly qualified personnel of the medical service of the airport works around the clock and is always ready to provide assistance to passengers. Medical facilities at Moscow Domodedovo Airport are located in the Domestic Airlines Area and in the transfer area of the International Airlines Area.
