The Baltic Air Charter Association’s Training becomes available online
The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) has announced that it is launching a series of online training courses. The courses are designed to deliver a set of accredited standards that build to create a complete portfolio of qualifications for charter brokers and those involved in the brokering industry. The new initiative is being launched by BACA Chairman Tony Coe during the BGAD exhibition at Biggin Hill.
The training courses are a joint initiative between the Baltic Air Charter Association and the TSA Group. The online training is open to anyone in the industry (not just BACA members) who wishes to be trained and accredited to a set of standards approved by BACA. The qualifications will enable certified brokers to demonstrate to auditors that their staff are trained to approved industry standards. The training courses can be integrated with other non-BACA training to create a complete training portfolio.
To begin with there are 25 training courses that can either be accessed via the BACA website – www.baca.org.uk – or the TSA website. More training will be added to meet future demands for an even more extensive portfolio of courses. For those companies that require group training there is a facility that enables Training Managers to sign up to the courses on behalf of a number of employees. The system will allow for continuous monitoring of an individual’s or group’s progress via the training website.
All of the training courses have been designed so that trainees accumulate a series of credits when they have completed each course. These credits will count towards a BACA Certificate of Excellence, the more credits achieved the higher the level of certification. For example 50 credits will achieve the BACA Advanced Diploma while 100 credits will achieve the BACA Diploma of Excellence.
BACA Chairman Tony Coe said “This is a great innovation and promises to deliver to BACA members, and non-members, the opportunity for standardised training and accreditation. I believe this is a great step forward for broker training and I hope that anyone with an interest in training and advancing skills of their employees will take time to look into this and discover the cost-effective and high-quality level of training available. I would like to thank the team at BACA and TSA Training who have put this together and I look forward to seeing this develop even further to deliver the most extensive series of training available for our industry.”
