This month Germanwings has been making use of Titan Airways for the first time to provide ACMI coverage on their route network.
In the last fortnight Titan Airways’ Airbus A320, Boeing 757 and Boeing 737 have all been called upon by the German low-cost carrier and we have operated flights – principally from the carrier’s Cologne base – to a variety of destinations including, Mallorca, Barcelona, Rome, Venice and Tangier.
The new cooperation with Germanwings is in large part due to the fact that Titan is now an IOSA registered carrier, an industry safety quality standard which is increasingly required by airlines when contracting sub-charter services.
Since successful registration Titan Airways have forged new relationships not only with Germanwings but also with several other European carriers, including Air Berlin, Germania and Primera Air Scandinavia.
