Czech Sport Aircraft confirmed that two more SportCruiser SVAP+ from the record order for eight units placed at the end of June are now being prepared for shipment to the USA. This new shipment follows on from the previous shipment that departed in mid-October and continues the expansion of the SportCruiser fleet in the USA.
Matthew Harvey, Managing Director of Aviation Trading, the official authorised trading partner of Czech Sport Aircraft said, “We are very much on track for a fantastic finish to the year and these rapid deliveries to the USA are central to that. As we prepare for this new shipment, the next two SportCruiser are already close to completion. In addition, we are getting ready to deliver an additional PS-28 Cruiser to France as well as the very first PS-28 Cruiser installed with SkyView avionics. The relationship with US Sport Aircraft continues to go from strength to strength and we are currently deep in discussions regarding 2015. It is very important for the SportCruiser to maintain its strong position on this strategically important market and we are very confident that we will continue to build on the success we have already achieved.”
SportCruiser SVAP+ serial no. C0525 and C0526 are both additionally installed with the new SkyView Touch™, Ballistic Recovery System, ADS-B Receiver and Garmin 796 GPS. Serial no. C0525 is configured in a customised version of the Czech Sport Aircraft Yellow Classic Design paint scheme with black accents, together with Phantom Black Standard Leather upholstery. Serial no. C0526 is configured in the every-popular Bohemia Red Classic Design paint scheme with Slate Grey Standard Leather upholstery.
Speaking from the SportCruiser Flight & Distribution Centre in Addision, Patrick Arnzen, President of US Sport Aircraft, said, “We are very pleased to hear that the next two SportCruiser are being prepared for shipment to the USA. At the same time, it is always very encouraging for us to hear about the success of the PS-28 Cruiser in Europe and we are intrested to hear about the new certification of the SkyView system. We have been operating the SportCruiser in the USA with the SkyView system for a long time now and it really is a first-class avionics suite for this category of aircraft. Despite the challenges we all face on this tough market, US Sport Aircraft stands firm in its belief that the SportCruiser is one of the best Light Sport Aircraft available in the world today.”
The SportCruiser SVAP+ offers dual-screen 10” Dynon SkyView instrumentation together with additional enhanced features. The SportCruiser SVAP Light is based on the increased demand from the U.S. market for an entry-level Light Sport Aircraft that combines affordability and advanced features with the flexibility to upgrade. SkyView Touch™ is a new option on the SportCruiser for 2014 and adds the convenience of touch when you want it but keeps a full set of buttons and joystick knobs for precise control in turbulence. Capacitive multi-touch technology allows natural actions such as two finger pinch-to-zoom on the map. Unlike most touch-based avionics and tablets, SkyView Touch™ preserves SkyView’s sunlight-readable and glare-rejecting screen.
With the aim of ensuring quality, general safety and airworthiness of Light Sport Aircraft, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has introduced more frequent audits of Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers. Having already conducted several audits of U.S. Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers, the FAA audit of Czech Sport Aircraft took place in 2013 and was the second such audit to take place outside the USA. The audit focused on all aspects of compliance with FAA accepted Light Sport Aircraft ASTM consensus standards and no safety related issues were found by the FAA inspectors during the Czech Sport Aircraft audit.
