Vertis Aviation and ExecuJet to debut Gulfstream G650 in European charter market

execujet hqVertis Aviation and ExecuJet, two of Switzerland’s leading business aviation providers, announced today they will introduce the first European-based Gulfstream G650 to the charter market. The revered intercontinental range G650 business jet will be delivered to Vertis Aviation AG and readied to start revenue flying on ExecuJet’s AOC immediately in a unique collaboration between the two companies. The aircraft will be on the Swiss register.

The all new, ultra-large cabin, ultra high speed, G650 is Gulfstream’s latest model and is expected to prove a popular arrival with existing clientele as well as attracting new customers with long range travel needs.  In addition to flying close to the speed of sound, it features a lower cabin altitude which reduces fatigue on long haul flights.  Cabin features, including window shades, temperature, lighting and displays are controlled via iPhone. The luxuriously appointed interior is both spacious and stylish with 12 seats (eight business seats in a four-place double club configuration and six divan style seats) including six lie flat beds so that passengers on long haul journeys can rest.

Equipped with a full communications suite it features high speed Wi-Fi connectivity along with SAT TV Europe and US, two Apple TVs and two Blu-ray players with a special entertainment system (similar to Emirates’ award-winning ICE system) offering a choice of up to 300 movies. With a range of 7,000 nm and a luxurious and fully equipped interior, the G650 is ideally suited for leisure trips to Dubai from New York or for executive business travel from London to Buenos Aires non-stop. Vertis and ExecuJet anticipate the aircraft will appeal to a discerning range of clients from celebrities to members of royalty to senior business executives.

“We are very excited to be working with ExecuJet in bringing this game changer aircraft to Switzerland and into the European charter market. We will work together to sell third party charter hours, as we have done before, although we anticipate the G650 will be in high demand throughout the coming spring and summer season,” said Jeffrey Emmenis, Partner at Vertis Aviation.

ExecuJet Europe’s Director of Aircraft Management and Charter, Christophe Gibert said: “We are very proud to be the first operator to have a G650 aircraft in our management fleet in Europe and available for charter. I am convinced that this aircraft will be a huge success with our clients. It combines style, comfort and the latest technological features. The addition of the G650 to our fleet underlines our credibility as an operator of choice for long-range aircraft from Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault and Embraer.”

The new Gulfstream G650 joins a varied long range charter fleet which Vertis markets on behalf of its operating partners. The portfolio includes seven long range, large cabin aircraft; a Bombardier Global 6000, two Airbus ACJ corporate jets, two Bombardier Global XRS aircraft, a Bombardier Global Express, and a Dassault Falcon 7X.
